Poured Out For Many

Poured Out For Many

Mark 14:22 – While they were eating, he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it. This is my body.” 23 – And after taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24 – He said to them, This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, that is poured out for many.

Jesus fulfilled His covenant vow to us to suffer and die in atonement for our sins.  We remember Jesus whenever we participate in a service similar to what Jesus did for the disciples while they were eating so long ago.

The blood of Jesus was poured out for as many as would choose to receive it.  It was intended to reach everyone, but there are those like Judas who will refuse the blood of the covenant and pay the price for their own sins with their lives.

For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:23.

The blood of Jesus was poured out to secure the free gift of eternal life for you and for me.  Too often we push ahead with our lives forgetting Jesus and His covenant vow He fulfilled for us.  May we take the time to remember Jesus.  Let’s praise Him and thank Him and love Him for this great salvation He has offered to all who choose to believe and receive it.

Let’s open our lives to receive the outpouring of His everlasting, unfailing, love today!
