Why this blog?

“We are living in interesting times.” I hear that statement a lot and I’ve said it so much it is beginning to sound like a cliché. The Novel Coronavirus or covid 19 is spreading like bad gossip. My name is Harold and I’ve been a Pastor for almost 22 years and this is the first time I’ve ever had to cancel church and prayer meeting services under these kinds of circumstances. When one door closes it’s time to open Windows or a Mac or Linux or your smartphone and join me here. This blog is intended to be an alternative “prayer meeting” type place where you can gather with me (through this blog) and encounter Jesus through the Scriptures and, hopefully, experience Matthew 18:20 coming true. It is a scary and exciting time. I believe we could all use some direction and encouragement the Scriptures offer for times just like these.
