The Time Came

The Time Came

Luke 2:6 – While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. 7 – And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

check out these verses:

For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers together until now. Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies. For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope because who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how we should pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings. – Romans 8:22-26.

One day the time will come for our delivery and our adoption will be finalized, our bodies redeemed, changed from mortal to immortal, wrapped in robes of Christ’s righteousness, rising like new babies to be placed in the manger of heaven because there was no longer any place in this world for us.

We will groan and suffer together until that day arrives – but no one will groan like how the Holy Spirit will groan for us on our behalf.  We have no idea how much heaven aches for our redemption.  Help is available for our weaknesses.  Let’s eagerly wait for the realization of this great hope with endurance – because the time is coming!

“I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the solemn truth, a time is coming – and is now here – when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.” – John 5:24, 25.
