Time to Worship the Lord

Time to Worship the Lord

Genesis 4:25 – And Adam had marital relations with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son. She named him Seth, saying, “God has given me another child in place of Abel because Cain killed him.” 26 – And a son was also born to Seth, whom he named Enosh. At that time people began to worship the LORD.

People began to worship the Lord.  My Bible study material shares some additional information that people began to develop the reputation of being God worshippers.

Cain started having children and grandchildren. Seth began having children and the stories started being shared about God.

From wherever you are, find a place to worship – if it’s in your home then set aside time to remember God and everything He’s done.  Call a friend or family member and worship God with them.  Go to church and worship the Lord with the believers there.

Last night I was part of a special time of worship.  Months ago I shared the story about a friend and colleague of mine who had suffered a massive heart attack.  He has since received a heart transplant and is on the road to recovery.  His life has changed drastically but he sent out an open invitation for everyone on his facebook page to join him in worship.  He sang, played his guitar, and spoke for about half an hour.  It was such a miracle to see him up and moving again and praising God!

At the very beginning people began to worship God.  At the end there will be people who will continue worshiping God.  Let’s carry on the worship.  Eve suffered the loss of a child and the joy of gaining a child – She was among the people who worshiped God.  Remember the words of Job:  “I left my mother’s womb naked, and I will return to God naked. The LORD has given, and the LORD has taken. May the name of the LORD be blessed.” Job neither sinned nor charged God with wrongdoing in all this. – Job 1:21-22.

No matter what you’ve gained or lost – let’s bless the name of the Lord together!

Have a blessed Sabbath!
