Choosing What is Best
Philippians 1:9 – And this is my prayer, that your love will keep on growing more and more with full knowledge and insight, 10 – so that you may be able to choose what is best and be pure and blameless until the day when the Messiah returns, 11 – having been filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus the Messiah so that God will be glorified and praised.
Each day our lives are filled with choices. Whether we are saved or lost are all based on our choices. Paul’s prayer to the Philippians was for their love to keep growing without lacking any knowledge or insight. This is an educated love resulting in the ability to make the best choices. What is the best choice to make in life? It is up to us to decide – only let’s make sure our decisions are based upon the best information available – the truth. Jesus is the truth.
Jesus is returning – so many are making fatal decisions based on faulty information. Love is growing cold and lives are devoid of the fruit of righteousness because many don’t believe in Jesus. He is still the Messiah – the anointed One. Let’s look upon His cross today see the depth of His love for sinful humanity, for you and for me – and let’s start making the best decisions for today and for eternity!
