Our God Reigns
Isaiah 52:4 – For this is what the LORD says: “My people went down long ago into Egypt to live there; the Assyrian, too, has oppressed them without cause. 5 – “Now therefore, what am I doing here,” asks the LORD, “seeing that my people are taken away without cause? Those who rule over them are deluded,” says the LORD, “and continuously, all the day long, my name is blasphemed.
verse 6 – Therefore my people will know my name; in that day they’ll know that it is I who speaks, ‘Here I am!’ 7 – “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the one who brings news of peace, who announces good things, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
verse 8 – Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices, together they sing for joy; for they will see in plain sight the return of the LORD to Zion with compassion. 9 – “Break forth together into singing, you ruins of Jerusalem; for the LORD has comforted his people, and he has redeemed Jerusalem. 10 – The LORD has bared his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.
The Lord will bare His arm to the nations. He will speak “Here I am!” to all those who have been deluded into thinking there is no God; all those who have made themselves into gods and have been blaspheming God’s name. Jesus will return in plain sight and the watchmen who have been proclaiming the good news, announcing salvation, will sing for joy that our redeemer lives!
Don’t get swept away by the lies of the nations – they are intent on sweeping away all God’s people without cause. Our governments are deluded. Keep watching and praying. Heed the words of Jesus and do not be deceived. Our God reigns and the whole world will see His salvation. You and I will see His salvation!
For you won’t go out in haste, nor will you go in flight; for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rear guard. He is called the God of all the earth. – Isaiah 52:12.
