A New Habitat

Isaiah 11:6 – A wolf will reside with a lamb, and a leopard will lie down with a young goat; an ox and a young lion will graze together, as a small child leads them along. 7 – A cow and a bear will graze togther, their young will lie down together. A lion, like an ox, will eat straw.

verse 8 – A baby will play over the hole of a snake; over the nest of a serpent an infant will put his hand. 9 – They will no longer injure or destroy on my entire royal mountain. For there will be universal submission to the LORD’s sovereignty.  Just as the water completely cover the sea.

Wolves, leopards, lions, bears, snakes will no longer injure or destroy.  They will live by a new set of rules, a new instinct, as laid down by God.  Lambs, goats and cattle, along with infants and children will no longer be in danger of any harm.  There will be no fear of predators who are seeking to devour the weak.  The laws of nature as we know them will be re-written – back to what God originally intended them to be before they were altered by the curse resulting from Adam’s sin.

Imagine – the greatest predator in all of nature has been humanity.  We can see how wretched we’ve become every day as the weak suffer at the hands of the strong.  Humanity itself will be changed as we will gladly submit, along with the rest of the universe, to the Lord’s sovereignty.  I’m looking forward to learning all there is to know about the habitat our earth will become when it is made new.

When Jesus returns “He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.” – Isaiah 11:4. – Wait for it!  Wait for Jesus!  A new habitat; a new society; a whole new way of life awaits all those who choose to submit to the Lord’s sovereignty today.
