Not Afraid to Die
Rev 12:9-11 NET 9 So that huge dragon – the ancient serpent, the one called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world – was thrown down to the earth, and his angels along with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the ruling authority of his Christ, have now come, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters, the one who accuses them day and night before our God, has been thrown down. 11 But they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.
Satan, the great deceiver wants everyone to be afraid to die and in that fear seek to save our lives through his sophisticated deceptions. He and his angels were thrown out of heaven. Let Jesus throw him out of our lives!
Jesus brought salvation, power, and the kingdom of our God – This is the good news He came to proclaim. His salvation, power, and kingdom are available now so we can confidently overcome Satan even to the point of death.
Remember the promise of Jesus: Remain faithful even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown that is life itself – Revelation 2:10b.
