Strategy of the Lord
Micah 4:10 – Twist and strain, Daughter Zion, as if you were in labor! For you will leave the city and live in the open field. You will go to Babylon, but there you will be rescued. There the LORD will deliver you from the power of your enemies. 11 – Many nations have now assembled against you. They say, “Jerusalem must be desecrated, so we can gloat over Zion!” 12 – But they do not know what the LORD is planning; they do not understand his strategy. He has gathered them like stalks of grain to be threshed at the threshing floor.
verse 13 – “Get up and thresh, Daughter Zion! For I will give you iron horns; I will give you bronze hooves, and you will crush many nations.” You will devote to the LORD the spoils you take from them, and dedicate their wealth to the sovereign ruler of the whole earth.
It’s so easy to get discouraged after listening to the news from any of the world’s news outlets. Where is our country headed? What about the world? What about us as individuals? Where do we fit in all of this? One thing is for certain: very few people “know what the LORD is planning; they do not understand his strategy. He has gathered them like stalks of grain to be threshed at the threshing floor.” – Micah 4:12.
What is the Lord planning? How do we understand His strategy? It has all been revealed in His Word! The Word of God is where the real news is at. The kings of the world – “will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those accompanying the Lamb are the called, chosen, and faithful.” – Revelation 17:14.
The world cannot help but move according to God’s plans. The only way to not get swept up in the coming threshing of the nations is to be with the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. He is calling out to whoever will listen and respond. Let’s answer the call and determine to be on the Lord’s side and accompany Jesus wherever He leads. The strategy of the Lord is undefeatable. Let’s be on the winning side of the Lamb today!
