God Will Go With You

God Will Go With You

Genesis 46:1 – So Israel began his journey, taking with him all that he had. When he came to Beer Sheba he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. 2 – God spoke to Israel in a vision during the night and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He replied, “Here I am!” 3 – He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.  4 – I will go down with you to Egypt and I myself will certainly bring you back from there. Joseph will close your eyes.”

Jacob had nothing to fear.  His beloved son Joseph would be the last person he would see when he would die and God Himself would be the One to bring Him back when the time would come for the great nation of Israel to leave Egypt.

Our lives will be filled with many challenges as was Jacob’s.  Let’s not fear how things will turn out.  Jesus promises to go with us.  Jesus will be the One to close our eyes should we end up sleeping in death.  Jesus Himself will certainly bring us to heaven when He returns.

Joseph’s name means:  “Jehovah has added” – so then…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof – Matthew 6:33, 34.

Let Jesus add abundant hope, blessing, and His presence to your life as we await the day of His soon return when He will bring us Home!

Have a blessed Sabbath!
