How the Dreams Turn Out

How the Dreams turn out

Genesis 37:18 – Now Joseph’s brothers saw him from a distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him. 19 – They said to one another, “Here comes this master of dreams! 20 – Come now, let’s kill him, thrown him into one of the cisterns, and then say that  wild animal ate him. then we’ll see how his dreams turn out!”

Oh how they ended up eating those words years later when they literally saw how real the dreams turned out to be.

Genesis 45:3 described that day – Joseph blurted out, “I’m Joseph! Is my father really alive?” But his brothers could not answer him, because they had become terrified to be in his presence. 4 – Joseph implored his brothers, “Please come close to me,” So they did. “I’m your brother Joseph, whom you sold in to slavery in Egypt!” he told them. 5 – “But don’t be distressed or angry at yourselves because you sold me here, because God sent me ahead of you all in order to deliver us.

The Bible says in Amos 3:7 – Certainly the sovereign LORD does nothing without first revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. 8 – A lion has roared! Who is not afraid? The sovereign LORD has spoken! Who can refuse to prophesy?

The Scriptures are filled with prophetic visions and dreams given by God to his messengers.  We will soon see how the visions and dreams turn out when Jesus comes to deliver us.  Let us not mock the messengers but consider what Jacob did when he heard Joseph’s dream.  Genesis 37:11 says “His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept in mind what Joseph said.”

Let’s keep in our hearts and minds the precious truths that are in the Bible.  The sovereign LORD has spoken – let’s hear what God has to say and look forward to the day of deliverance together when we will see how it all turns out!
