Ready

Ready

Genesis 37:12 – When his brothers had gone to graze their father’s flocks near Shechem, 13 – Israel said to Joseph, “Your brothers are grazing the flocks near Shechem. Come, I will send you to them.” “I’m ready.” Joseph replied.

Joseph stated his readiness to go see his brothers but had no idea that these words would be the last ones he would say to his father for many years.  In the providence of God Joseph was more than ready to go.  God would be with him to face challenges that would lead him to the fulfillment of his wildest dreams.

Are you ready?  We may leave home today ready to tackle our to do lists and have no idea what challenges God may permit us to face.  Are you ready for the unexpected stuff that may happen?  Let’s begin this day with Jesus so that we, too, will be ready to face the fulfillment of our wildest dreams.  I can think of no wilder dream fulfilled than that of Jesus Christ coming in the clouds to take us home to be with Him forever!

Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a vast throng, like the roar of many waters and like loud crashes of thunder. They were shouting: “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the All-Powerful, reigns! Let us rejoice and exult and give him glory, because the wedding celebration of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. She was permitted to be dressed in bright, clean, fine linen” (for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints). – Revelation 19:6-8.
