Moved to Action
Zechariah 2:11 – “Many nations will join themselves to the LORD on the day of salvation, and they will also be my people. Indeed, I will settle in the midst of you all.” Then you will know that the LORD who rules over all has sent me to you.
Verse 12 – The LORD will take possession of Judah as his portion in the holy land and he will choose Jerusalem once again. 13 – Be silent in the LORD’s presence, all people everywhere, for he is being moved to action in his holy dwelling place.
Check out this verse – And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Look! The residence of God is among human beings. He will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them – Revelation 21:3.
I am looking forward to the day when God will settle in our midst and live among us. May we see, by faith in His Holy Word, that God is presently acting according this very goal. As we look at the state of the world around us we may be tempted to think that this would be the most unlikely conclusion – but we must look beyond the headlines and see that everything is happening as God said it would.
God rules over all! There is no other like Him! May He rule in our hearts today and quiet our troubled minds with the confidence that He is being moved to action, preparing for the day of salvation, according to His everlasting, unfailing love!
