Life In His Name

John 20:29 – Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are the people who have not seen and yet have believed.” 30 – Now Jesus performed many other miraculous signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 – But these are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

The disciple named Thomas refused to believe that Jesus was alive until he saw and felt the wounds of Jesus. Eight days later Jesus appeared among the disciples behind locked doors and if that wasn’t enough for Thomas he urged Thomas to see and feel the wounds of Jesus for himself and to no longer continue in his unbelief.

What doubt still lingers in your heart about Jesus? Look at what has been recorded in the Bible. We may not receive same gift as Thomas but there is a blessing for us. Let us Look at all the fulfilled prophecies concerning Jesus and the prophecies concerning the rise and fall of nations. They’ve all been fulfilled – they’ve been recorded so that we may believe and have life in His name. There are many other miraculous signs in the world that speak of a Master Creator and Designer. May our eyes be opened to the miraculous things that happen from day to day and let us continue believing in Jesus and receive the peace that only He can give!
