Eternal Life
John 17:1 – When Jesus had finished saying these things, he looked upward to heaven and said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son,so that your Son may glorify you – 2 – just as you have given him authority over all humanity, so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him.
Verse 3 – Now this is eternal life – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent. 4 – I glorified you on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. 5 – And now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory I had with you before the world was created.
The search for eternal life is not found at some mythical fountain of youth. It is not found in the realm of artificial intelligence nor can it be computed in the quantum realm. There is no genetic process or surgical procedure that can unlock its mysteries. All such endeavors are guaranteed to end in failure.
The tree of life is the only thing in all creation known to grant immortality and that tree has been guarded by an angel with a flaming sword ever since God placed him there at the east side of the garden of Eden. So even if someone found the garden they wouldn’t be able to get past the angel.
Knowing the One true God is the only way to eternal life.
John 3:16 says – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 6:23 says – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Isn’t it time we got to know Jesus better? He has a special gift He wants to give all those who believe in Him. That gift is eternal life!
