World Conqueror
John 16:32 – “Look, a time is coming – and has come -when you will be scattered, each one to his own home, and I will be left alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 – I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage – I have conquered the world.”
Have you noticed world wars escalating? Have you noticed new diseases and old ones making a comeback? Jesus said it was all going to happen. In this world we have trouble and suffering but despite it all there is Jesus. If we will take the time to read the Bible we will see that He’s told us all these things ahead of time so that we will have peace in Him. We don’t have to panic when it seems as if everything if falling apart around us. We can have peace in Jesus. He has already conquered the world.
A short time ago I was reading that in cases of extreme trauma the brain doesn’t immediately register that catastrophic harm has been done to the body. In the case of this world – with all the trauma going on with famine, disease, earthquake, and war – much of the world doesn’t realize that it has already been conquered by Jesus. Only when Jesus arrives will every eye see and every brain register the truth: Jesus is real. Jesus has told us all these things so that we can believe in Him ahead of time.
Jesus has already conquered the world. Let’s be at peace with Jesus today!
