Our Lord, Mighty Warrior
Isaiah 42:10 – Sing to the LORD a brand new song! Praise him from the horizon of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and everything that lives in it, you coastlands and those who live there! 11 – Let the desert and its cities shout out, the towns where the nomands of Kedar live! Let the residents of Sela shout joyfully; let them shout loudly from the mountaintops.
Verse 12 – Let them give the LORD the honor he deserves; let them praise his deeds in the coastlands. 13 – The LORD emerges like a hero, like a warrior he inspires himself for battle; he shouts, yes, he yells, he shows his enemies his power.
May the songs we sing; may the prayers we pray possess the praise and faith our LORD deserves for He is the hero and warrior for all time. He will demonstrate His omnipotent power to all His enemies and shout so loud it will shake the earth. Jesus is the One who will mediate His covenant for people and bring light to the nations. He will open blind eyes, release prisoners from dungeons and set free those who are imprisoned in darkness.
True power lies with Jesus. Let not this world’s current wars and rumors of wars cause distress, but pray and sing with confidence. Nations like Russia, Ukraine, China, Canada, and the United States along with rest of the nations of the world fall under the jurisdiction of Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Let Jesus mediate His covenant of love in our hearts today and let’s trust Him to work all things “together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose…” – Romans 8:28.
