Plan Within the Plan
Mark 15:1 – Early in the morning, after forming a plan, the chief priests with the elders and the experts in the law and the whole Sanhedrin tied Jesus up, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate. 2 – So Pilate asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” He replied, “You say so.”
verse 3 – Then the chief priests began to accuse him repeatedly. 4 – So Pilate asked him again, “Have you nothing to say? See how many charges they are bringing against you!” 5 – But Jesus made no further reply, so that Pilate was amazed.
All of the smartest and most important Jews got together and formed a plan to hand Jesus over to Pilate to have Him crucified. They had no clue their hastily formed plan was already part of another plan set in motion when Adam and Eve first sinned. The divine plan called for Jesus, the lamb of God, to be ‘slain from the foundation of the world.’ (Revelation 13:8)
Our lives are already part of plan set in motion from the beginning to save us. Pilate was not impressed at the scheming of the Jewish leaders, but when he beheld Jesus he was completely amazed. Let’s behold Jesus afresh today and be completely amazed at His power, His presence, His patience, His plan, and most of all His pure love!!!
