Access to the Father

Matthew 18:10 – “See to it that you do not despise one of these little ones, because I tell you, their angels in heaven always have access to my Father in heaven. 11 – For the Son of Man came to save the lost.”

Jesus came to save the lost. If we interfere with that work by causing someone who believes in Jesus to sin. Jesus said “It would be better for him if a large millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned at the bottom of the sea.” Matthew 18:6.

What could be worse that being drowned at the bottom of the sea? According to Jesus it would be worse to be thrown into eternal fire. If a person is found guilty of causing others to sin they will be cut off from God like one cuts off a cancerous limb or eye. Better to lose a body part than to lose the whole body. Better to lose a family member than to lose the whole family.

There are powers at war against believers of God. They want nothing more than to break any connection we have with Jesus Christ. If you feel under pressure to deny God and give up on Him, remember that your angels in heaven always have access to the Heavenly Father. Never forget that Jesus came to this earth to save you. Those powers that are compelling us to deny God and sin against Him will be thrown into hell fire. They will one day be cut off never to cause anyone to sin again.

Dear Heavenly Father, we are all facing temptations to deny You and trust in other powers. Please forgive us for the times we’ve given in to those temptations! We’ve learned that our angels always have access to You. Thank-you for reminding us that Jesus came to save us and that You will send our angels to assist us in our moments of trial and weakness. Open our eyes to see the massive amounts of assistance that is available to us from You. Thank-you for your unfailing love and may all those powers wanting us to sin against You be cut off forever and ever, according to Your Word!
